Patrick Horan is a leading specialist in the defence of drink and drug driving prosecutions in Ireland. In February 2022 in the case of DPP v Boland, Patrick successfully defended a client charged with drink driving using the twin defences of Duress and Necessity. These were the first recorded successful uses of both these defences in a drink driving prosecution in Ireland. He fights every case.
